She added that overall violent crime was down, and “what the statisticians are clear about is that the increases in the most serious forms of violence have actually in terms of numbers been more than counteracted by the decreases in less serious violence.”
in other words, what we’ve done as a Government and as statisticians, is to make a change that actually itself increases the level of most serious violence
Indeed, they’ve made lots of changes that have increased my propensity toward serious violence!
In other news, only half of the Home Office’s Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships think the Home Office is effective at spreading good practice about tackling violent crime.
