Me elsewhere

Posted in detention without charge by ukliberty on October 20, 2008

At Liberal Conspiracy, preaching to the converted (I suspect) about 42 days.  Nevertheless a good opportunity (thanks Aaron), particularly because it isn’t over yet.

I couldn’t fit everything I wanted to say in the word limit.  In particular, it is well worth reading Gareth Peirce‘s thoughts on intelligence, detention, and how the closed (the defendant is not allowed to hear evidence) aspects of terrorism hearings work (or don’t work, depending on your point of view), and Professor Ross Anderson‘s chapter (from the new edition of his book) on Terror, Justice and Freedom.

Thanking your for the post, too. :o)

It isn’t over, so hoping you’ll continue to contribute (and not just on the 42-days issue!).
