UK court decisions and case law can be found at Bailii, and Worldlii provides a similar search facility (including case-law, legislation, treaties, law reform reports, law journals, and other materials) for 48 jurisdictions in 20 countries.
When searching for UK primary and secondary legislation, I find it easier to use Google to search the Office of Public Sector Information (OPSI) website, rather than the search facility on the OPSI site itself. However, the Statutelaw website allows you to see how primary legislation has been affected by subsequent legislation.
Briefing documents on civil liberties -related legislation can be found at the Magna Carta Plus website.
The Campaign for Freedom of Information has published a users’ guide (500Kb PDF) to the Freedom of Information Act, Environmental Information Regulations and new rights to see personal data about you held by public authorities.
